Experts in the fluorescent whitening agent industry have learned that the technical level of fluorescent whitening agent production in China has reached the world's advanced level

Fluorescent brighteners are mainly used in four major fields in China: detergents, papermaking, textiles, and plastics. Among them, 40% are used in the detergent industry, 30% in the paper industry, 25% in the textile industry, and the plastic industry accounts for 5% of the total. It is understood that fluorescent brighteners in China have been industrialized since the 1950s. In 1982, there were only 15 enterprises producing fluorescent brighteners nationwide, with a production capacity of approximately 2000 tons. By 2009, there were over 150 fluorescent brightener production enterprises nationwide, with a production capacity of 150000 tons. Experts predict that by the end of 2011, the total production of fluorescent whitening agents in China will reach 180000 tons. After meeting the domestic market demand, China's fluorescent whitening agents have also entered the international market. According to customs statistics, the export volume of fluorescent whitening agent products in China was only 2665 tons in 1999, but in 2009, the export volume had reached 40000 tons
