Material selection
There are more than ten types of commonly used dyes, and how to choose the appropriate dye during dyeing is the key to the success or failure of dyeing. When selecting dyes, in addition to considering factors such as the type of fiber being dyed, the use of the dyed material, color requirements, price and cost, supply of goods, quality, and dyeing methods, it is not necessary to consider the principles of same color matching, close color matching, and less color matching, in order to achieve synchronous coloring, improve color reproduction, and improve sample accuracy.
1、 Same color matching
Due to the wide variety of dyes, there are differences in the performance of various dyes in the same category. When color matching, it is necessary to try to choose dyes with similar dyeing properties (such as directness, diffusion, reactivity, dyeing fastness, etc.). For example, when dyeing with reactive dyes, it is necessary to try to mix between K-types and X-types as much as possible, while avoiding mixing between K-types and X-types as much as possible; For example, when using dispersed dyes for high-temperature and high-pressure dyeing, it is advisable to mix low-temperature dyes together to ensure good color reproduction and high accuracy of the sample during dyeing.
2、 Near color matching
Near color matching means that when color matching, it is best to choose dyes with similar color to the standard sample as the main color, and then choose mixed dyes.
3、 Less color matching
Less color matching means that the fewer dyes to match, the better. For those who can match two colors, do not match three colors, and try to avoid four colors as much as possible. At the same time, it should be noted that some commodity dyes are already mixed together. When using this type of dye as the main color, the dye used for color matching should be as much of a mixed dye as possible to reduce the number of mixed dyes used. Because the more dyes there are, the poorer the selective absorption of visible light and the lower the brightness of the color. In addition, the more color matching dyes, the worse the synchronization of dyeing, and the stronger the dependence on process conditions during dyeing. Slight changes in process conditions may affect the reproducibility of color, thereby reducing the accuracy of the sample.
