I.Performance and Usage

Compared to conventional water softeners, Guangdong Tiansheng New Materials' water softeners have the characteristics of low dosage, stable performance, chelation with all ions of 2 valence and above, and good softening effect of calcium and magnesium ions in water. They are widely used in boiler heating water, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis pre-treatment, and household water softening treatment. After addition, the water hardness significantly decreases, effectively preventing the formation of scale.  

1. Water softener is a highly efficient chelating dispersant with excellent chelating power for metal ions such as calcium and magnesium. It is an essential water softener for textile printing, dyeing, and garment washing processes.

2. Softeners can be used as synergistic agents for pre-treatment of printing and dyeing, as heavy metal ions in water can combine with detergent molecules to form insoluble metal salts, thereby reducing the washing ability of detergents. These insoluble metal salts can also deposit on textile fabrics, causing them to become hard and hairy, affecting the quality of pre-treatment. Softeners have a strong chelating ability to heavy metal ions, which can seal them off to avoid adverse effects of heavy metal ions on detergents and improve the quality of pre-treatment.

3. Softeners can be used as leveling agents and brightening agents for dyeing. Due to the precipitation of heavy metal ions with anionic dyes, color spots and spots are produced in the color. Adding water softeners can prevent the generation of color spots and spots, and improve the rubbing fastness of dyeing. Water softener can also be used as post fermentation brightening agent and soaping agent for denim.

4. Softeners can be used as scale inhibitors for printing and dyeing equipment. Water softeners can chelate metal ions in dirt, emulsifying and dispersing dirt, which is beneficial for removing dirt.

II. Usage and dosage

1. For water hardness ≤ 100mg/L, add 20g/ton of water softener

2. For every 10mg/L increase in water hardness, the dosage increases by 1 gram/ton of water

3. If the hardness of the water supply is not clear, add more according to the above principles
