Due to the continuous emergence of new technologies and products, printing and dyeing factories have been able to solve the old problem of balance between hand feel and fastness in high-end textile pigment printing processing, and have been able to smoothly apply it to various fiber components of non-woven fabrics, ribbed fabrics, and knitted fabrics. So, with the widespread popularity of pigment printing, how can we distinguish whether a printed cotton fabric is processed with pigment printing or reactive printing? Below, Tiansheng New Materials will introduce several identification methods for your reference.

1. Color: The color of pigment printing is not as bright as that of reactive dyes, and the color is relatively dull, giving the impression that the color is floating on the cloth surface.

2. Look at the gloss: Some pigment printed fabrics need to undergo a "calendering" process before leaving the factory to mask their lack of smoothness. Therefore, if you see a shiny feeling on the fabric surface, it may be pigment printing. The smoothness obtained through rolling is disposable and will disappear after washing.

3. Smell: The pigment printing process uses a large amount of adhesive and is directly shaped without washing, so there will be a smell in the finished fabric.

4. Touch feeling: Although there are already excellent adhesives for pigment printing processing, through touch and careful feeling, it can be found that there are still differences in the touch style between pigment printing and reactive printing.
